State of the Community Town Hall Meeting

On May 27, 2026, the Whispering Woods Board of Directors hosted the State of the Community Town Hall Meeting at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Coconut Creek. The purpose of the event was to provide homeowners with information regarding important issues affecting our community, hear directly from subject matter experts, answer resident questions, and encourage community engagement as we plan for the future of Whispering Woods.

The Board was honored to welcome Commissioner Shawn Cerra and several representatives from the City of Coral Springs, including Casey Lee, City Arborist; Tina Jou, Director of Community Development; Jenna Lane, Planning Manager; and Dorian Johnson, City Engineer. We were also joined by Association legal counsel Ryan Poliakoff and representatives from M&M Property Management, who helped provide professional insight on a variety of community topics.

During the Town Hall, homeowners received information and updates regarding deferred maintenance, lakeshore concerns, preserve areas, perimeter walls, infrastructure, insurance considerations, reserve planning, and other long-term community priorities. Residents also had the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and participate in a productive discussion about the challenges and opportunities facing our community.

The evening highlighted the importance of planning, collaboration, transparency, and community involvement as we work together to preserve and enhance Whispering Woods for current and future residents. We appreciate the thoughtful participation from homeowners and the valuable expertise shared by our guest speakers.

Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the audio portion of the recording was unavailable until approximately the 21-minute mark. We apologize for the inconvenience. The recording is still being shared for homeowners who were unable to attend, as the majority of the presentations, discussion, and question-and-answer session were captured after that point.

Please note that this was a Town Hall meeting and not a Board Meeting. No Board votes were taken, no official Board action occurred, and no final decisions were made. The event was educational and informational in nature and was intended to facilitate dialogue and provide homeowners with a better understanding of the issues currently affecting the Association.

Thank you to our guest speakers, residents, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event a success. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and working together for the benefit of the Whispering Woods community.
